Teagan + Logan's Lancaster Wedding

As I’m sure anyone would say, every detail of our day was incredibly special! Our venue was my husband’s family farm, with the ceremony site at the highest point and our reception in the barndominium. The arbor for our ceremony was also built by my husband’s dad, uncle, and grandfather out of 100+ year old (hand hewn) wood from an old cabin that used to be on the property. To get up to the ceremony site, guests either walked or rode up in a decked out wagon pulled by a tractor!

At the reception we had an amazing coffee cart run by a women’s ministry from Lexington! They’re called Lane of Roses, and they also gave us a beautiful Bible following the reception. We wanted to include both of our families in the decoration as well, so we made a generations of love shelf with framed wedding pictures for all of our family. It was a fun thing to make and they got to take the pictures home after!

Our wedding cake was a butter cake with chocolate ganache and red velvet. We also had chocolate and fruit puff pastries, cupcakes and macarons! We danced our first dance to “Then” by Brad Paisley.

Our wedding exit was a HUGE hit, as we got to leave in a helicopter! It arrived while we were taking pictures, and once we changed we hopped in and got to spend the night in the Kentucky castle!

Bride’s Advice: Don’t try to do it all at once! Accomplish a few things per day instead of trying to do a whole bunch on one day. It saves you from burning out and resenting the process!
