Kimberly + Justin's London Wedding
Our wedding day is a day that we both will cherish forever. The day was filled with love and laughter while we were surrounded by our family and friends.
In true Kentucky fashion, we experienced true Kentucky weather— sunshine and rain. Although, the 10 minute rain storm during our ceremony was an unplanned part of our wedding, it made for a magical moment. Shortly after, we were blessed with a rainbow over our beautiful venue. Old wise-tails state rain on your wedding day is a sign of a long-lasting marriage. We viewed it as Kentucky weather just proving our marriage was meant to be.
My mother and I have always bonded over the love of flowers. My mother handcrafted each table arrangement with real flowers herself. A true definition of labor of love. With the touch of my mother’s hard work and love, it gave our wedding the true epitome of elegance.
Truly the best part of our wedding day was our private first look between the two of us. Deciding on a private first look was something we debated on for most of our time while wedding planning. Looking back on our wedding day it is something that neither of us regretted doing. Our first look is a very sentimental moment that we both will cherish forever. Justin’s reaction to me made me fall in love with him all over again. Seeing him during our first look eased all of my nerves and any stress I had. During our first look, we were able to share intimate vows between the both of us that reflect truly what our wedding day was about— our love. Plus, our private first look made for raw, candid shots of our love. These pictures turned out to be some of our favorite photos we received.
Bride’s Advice: One piece of advice I wish someone had told me was to prioritize and incorporate what matters to you as a couple. During wedding planning, one can be overwhelmed and pressured with a range of trends, expectations and opinions. Remember it’s your wedding day and do what makes you as a couple happy. Savor every moment of your wedding day because it feels like it’s over in a blink of an eye.
