Skylar + Brandon's Barn Wedding
From the Bride: Our wedding took place in our barn that we redid at our house so the location itself was very special to us. My momma and I made or thrifted almost everything we used for the wedding so we got to put our own unique twist onto things. The alter we stood under was put together by my papaw and husband and we carved our name into it to make it even more personal! We had a dessert wagon and had guests bring their own homemade/personal favorite desserts!
We had a fairly big bridal party and involved all nine of his nieces and nephews who did amazing and everyone cracked up at the signs the nephews carried! The bouquets for the girls and I were made by Mary Ann Hall and they turned out absolutely stunning! I made the boutonnieres for the guys, Brandon’s was extra special, it was made out of the bullet casing from his papaw’s shadow box.
My first look with my dad was so special! He hugged me so tight because we were trying not to cry.
The reception itself was the best party we’ve ever been to! I loved watching Brandon having a dance/sing off with his dad and them laughing at each other! We’ve heard the song ‘Family Tradition’ 100 times as it’s his family’s tradition to gather in a circle and dance/sing it at anyone’s wedding. We danced to the song Told You by Florida Georgia line not once, but twice. And everyone gathered around locking arms in a circle to celebrate us as we danced under our giant chandelier!
