Paige + Satchel's Beautiful Lebanon Wedding
From the Bride: I knew from the beginning what my vision was. I did not have a hard time deciding on what I wanted, because I just knew. Somewhat exotic, a lot of extra, and very different than what you typically see in our area. I was really into all of the small details…the ones that really stood out to my guest. I told my planner, Zachary Brady Designs, I want it to be on brand with who I am—and that it was!
One of the most magnificent details was the butterfly canopy I had over the dance floor (and my shoes by Sophia Webster and our wax seals!) It was unreal, over the top. Butterflies hold a special place in my heart-they remind me of all of my loved ones who have went before us! We also had a round, gold, mirrored bar which I had dreamt of FOREVER and having real glass wear made it that much more!
The touch I remember most from our wedding as hugging my fiancé, now husband, and holding his hand, during our first look! It was so magical, organic and natural. I loved seeing all of my loved ones in the congregation of the church while I was about to walk up the aisle and it was so wonderful having the Archbishop of Indianapolis, Charles Thompson, marry us -what an honor it was to have him come back on our big day! He also baptized me, so he’s given me two of my holy sacraments. Hearing my cousin, Dr. Kristen George, cantor the mass was such a beautiful wound. The music was over the top along with the string quartet, specially the song The Prayer.
For the reception, we had one of my very favorite hors d’oeuvres, mini chicken and waffles! Who doesn’t love that?! We also had champagne Jello-O shots for the bridal party table, classy and fun, and a champagne tower with pink rock candy sticks in them! Of course the neon sign that read, “it was always you” for a fun photo op! The band was one of my most very favorite parts of the day, The Crashers! We also got a DJ to play after they ended because I didn’t want the party to end! For a late night snack we had pizza and cookies and milk with the milk in cute mini old fashioned milk glasses!
