Sarah + Payton's London Wedding
From the Bride: We wanted to have a wedding with a “French Country Theme”, so we went for classy but simple. There were bourbon barrels lining the aisle outside, but rows of baby’s breath and white roses on the tables inside. The venue allowed for the perfect mix of rustic and class to make our wedding perfect!
We danced our first dance to “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. It felt like our own Cinderella Story moment and no one else was in the room but us! I danced with both my mom and dad, which was a pretty special moment for me. Growing up I was always daddy’s little girl, but my mom was always right by my side too. I wanted to make a lasting memory on my wedding day with both of them, so I danced to “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” by Drew Baldridge with my dad and “Never Grow Up” by Taylor Swift with my mom. If a bride is looking for a song to dance to with your mom, this one is perfect. It felt so special and brought back so many memories for both of us. It truly brought us to tears.
Bride’s Advice: I wish someone would have told me to make sure you take time for you and your significant other. Take 10 or 20 minutes and sneak away where it can be just the two of you. It’s easy to get caught up in the pictures, dances, cake cutting, talking to guests, etc. Those 10-20 minutes allows it to be just you all for a moment on a day full of events.
