Sara + Blake's London Wedding

From the Bride: There are a few things I feel that made our wedding day stand out. To begin, on August 5, 2019 Blake asked me to be his girlfriend. We were both so young and in love. Little did we know, the Lord had a perfect plan for that specific date. After we got engaged, we began to plan our wedding and needed to pick a date. We were looking at the calendar and noticed our four year anniversary just so happened to be on a Saturday! Also when making our wedding timeline, we made time before the ceremony to pray together. We didn’t want to have a first look, so we each stood on one side of a door, held hands and prayed! This helped calm our nerves and was a very special part of our big day.

Another thing that I think was special was Blake’s mom sang “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe as we had communion during our ceremony. This was very special to us and gave us time to worship the Lord! Moving on to the reception, we had a large bridal party of 20. They all got to dance into the reception to funny music before Blake and I came in. This definitely made our guests laugh! We danced our first dance to “I Get To Love You: by Ruelle.

Lastly at the end of the night, my husband and I shared a personal last dance as everyone lined up outside with sparklers to send us off. After we ran through the send off, we got into a 1965 blue mustang that has been in Blake’s family for a long time and drove off as husband and wife!

Bride’s Advice: I wish someone would have told me to have my maid of honor practice bustling my dress a few times before the wedding day, so it wouldn’t have taken so long.
