Nicole + Tyler's Spindletop Wedding

From the Bride: I grew up just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and it is a Western PA tradition to have a cookie table. My mom is an amazing baker and she took the lead (with a little help from me and close family and friends) and baked over 1,000 cookies leading up to the wedding. The morning of the wedding, my family set up the cookie table of my dreams—tiered trays, immaculate stacking, cookie bags with our wedding crest on them. We still have guests asking for recipes. I loved bringing this tradition down south.

A few other details that made this day feel extra special included the custom cornhole boards my very handy Dad made for cocktail hour on the lawn, having our friend sing during the ceremony, and putting together a non-traditional playlist for String Elegance. We picked everything from The Beatles to The Foofighters. Tyler and I walking down the aisle to the string version of Toto’s ‘Africa’ was the perfect start to our marriage. We danced our first dance to “ I’m Gonna Love You For A Long Time” by Maggie Rogers (piano version).

Bride’s Advice: There’s no wrong decision. Choose what brings you joy.
