Briana + Matthew's Campbellsville Wedding

From the Bride: I loved my wedding. I would relive the day over and over a million times! The wedding planning was so fun! I did a few things a little different than usual. I threw a bridal brunch for my girls and ordered sample dresses from Azazie for them to try on then. It was a hit and way easier than all of us trying to travel to a store to try on. My husband declared he needed a hat for the wedding and I found a gorgeous rare Toasted Almond cowboy hat for him that I matched his suit to. He also signed us up for dance classes with Arthur Murray in Lexington. Before the wedding we went to counseling with our preacher which was really nice learning about our roles as husband and wife in the eyes of God. I wanted my dress to be classic and timeless, with some hint of flare. My detachable train and extra extra long veil added fun and just enough drama. I knew I wanted pampas grass to kind of go with the western feel with Matt's cowboy hat but I was blown away with the gorgeous arrangement Ralph with Swan's Landing came up with! I wanted the best local vendors that I have been following for years to take care of my wedding and I opted with a videographer, photographer and voice recording guest book so that I would not forget all the details of this once in a lifetime event!

The day was grand! It did get very hot and steamy with a rain shower before pictures but it was extra luck and I did not complain. I actually am so happy we had the overcast because it made our pictures gorgeous. During the ceremony, me and Matt celebrated our unity through a tree. We had our dads dig up soil from each of our childhood homes and we mixed it with the soil of the tree. We got a Crepe Myrtle tree that symbolizes love, beauty longevity and good fortune. The pink blooms are sacred to the Greek Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.

We had signature drinks and mine was a “Blushing Bride” (pineapple, cranberry and vodka). Matthew’s was the “Woodford Spire”. We danced our first dance to “When it Comes to Loving You” by Jon Langston and we danced the night away and sang old classics "I Want to be Just Like You" and "All the Small Things". A sparkler exit wrapped up our magical day!

Bride’s Advice: My advice would be not to hold back - be as extra and grand as you desire. It's your one day and everyone is there for you, make it how you want it, dance like no one is watching and have the time of your life!
