Laci + Seth's Speed Art Wedding!

From the Bride: The Highlands neighborhood is so nostalgic for both of us and we loved our rehearsal dinner at The Bristol - just a walk across the street from The Bellwether Hotel where we got ready and enjoyed socializing with the wedding party.

Our first date was at The Speed Art Museum so our wedding venue was a no-brainer. Coming down the stairs with my father, into the ceremony is a core memory. We met my mother at the bottom of the stairs and together they walked me to the altar. Rev. Brian Cole presided over the ceremony and gave everyone chills. The Speed opened the galleries to guests during cocktail hour, which made for fantastic photos and a fun activity. Our food was phenomenal. The Speed has in-house catering with Wiltshire Pantry and their food cannot be beat. I wanted a heavy appetizer style buffet and they killed it. Food was delicious and we personally helped design the menu. We had vegan options, roast-beef/caramelized onion sliders, Mediterranean influences, amazing dips and fresh vegetables, vegetable/goat cheese empanadas. It was delectable. The guests raved over the passed horsdouvres during cocktail hour. We chose champagne coupes instead of traditional flutes and this accented our vintage theme.

We loved our DJ who allowed me to take the mic and rap my favorite song with all of our guests! My favorite project was surprising the guests with framed photos of themselves on display and provided as favors. I loved our little programs that my friend and I designed. Our florist, Secoy Richey was phenomenal. She made the museum even more beautiful than it already is. She loved my vision for dark and bold florals and executed it perfectly.

My father, sister and brother-in-law gave hilarious and moving speeches. We freestyled our first dance to “Beyond” by Leon Bridges and honestly it looks awesome in the video! Our pictures on top of The Speed garage are so so cool! We wrapped up our evening partying the night away at The Hub, courtesy of friend and owner Eric Wentworth.

Bride’s Advice: Implement the fun/weird activity, decor, tradition, etc. that you can't get out of your head. It personalizes the whole day and it's totally worth it.
