Hope + Caleb's Lexington Wedding

From the Bride: Our main goal and vision for our whole day was to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for our guests! We just wanted to celebrate our love with those we love the most. We also wanted to glorify Jesus with every detail of our wedding, giving Him all of the praise and the glory for what He has done in our lives. Caleb and I are big on experiences over material things, so we decided to create a place for our guests (and us!) to worship, have a blast, and interact with and meet others.

Caleb's and my parents were all friends in college, and both couples ended up getting married in the church they attended at the time--in the chapel at Southland Church. Caleb and I now go to this church, and we wanted to get married in this chapel as well, just as both sets of our parents did. My parents had gotten married on that exact stage almost exactly 30 years prior to when we did (they were married in September of 1993). This chapel holds so much meaning to our hearts because of this. It's a place of worship, intimacy--with God and each other, and love.

As for our reception, we wanted a space that was bright, warm, and inviting! We chose the Signature Club of Lansdowne because of these factors and because of the beautiful outdoor space that we could mingle in. I am a wedding florist, and I actually ended up doing my own flowers! Because we were on a budget, this saved us a lot of money. I chose warm sunset tones for both the flowers and bridal party colors. Lauren Wilson captured my warm, sunset theme beautifully. At our reception, we wanted our guests to have a blast. Our biggest hit was probably the Photo Booth that we had that printed out photo slips like you would get at the mall. We danced our first dance to "She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel (Live Version). We also had a live painter who painted guest portraits for the guests to take home as well! Like I said previously, we mainly wanted our guests to have a blast and to feel God's love in this atmosphere. We are so thankful to our families, friends, and all of our vendors for standing along side of us and helping to create such a perfect night. We drove away from our reception with our hearts fuller than ever. I will always look back on this night with such a grateful heart.

Bride’s Advice: Don't stress about all the details! The most important part of your wedding day is NOT the flowers, the food or cake, the music, the photographer, the venue, etc. The most important thing is that the end of the night, you are now married and committed to each other for life. Don't get so bogged down or stressed out about the little things that come and go in one night and focus on what is everlasting--your love and commitment to each other!
