Grace + Seth's Campbellsville Wedding

“We got engaged at my family farm, so it only made sense to get married there as well,” says Grace. “It made for a beautiful wedding venue; from the geese flying in the morning fog to the baby grand piano set above the pond, our day was amazing. It was everything we had ever dreamed of. We were high school sweethearts, so I had plenty of time to visualize our special day. Our wedding was a black-tie affair (with a touch of country), which was exactly what I envisioned. I even wore custom Old Gringo boots with the Berta dress I fell in love with the moment I saw it.

The ceremony aisle was 20 feet wide with runway seating on each side to create a statement and allow room for the train of my dress. There were 9-foot-tall centerpieces full of white roses and hydrangeas leading to the pavilion with a large flower arch. I’ve always loved flowers and knew that I wanted lots of them. I was adamant about having a custom calla lily chandelier over the dance floor––it was massive and a showstopper. When planning the layout, we wanted guests to enjoy the view, so we split the tents between the barn with a communal area filled with estate tables and string lights to create ambiance. We raise cattle and love everything cowhide. We incorporated our cattle brand on our dance floor, as well as cowhide on our cake table, on my bouquet, and cowhide sweetheart chairs. We even incorporated this into our ceremony with a ‘branding unity.’

With the help of our videographers, we created a mini film for our first dance entrance and played it on a 24-foot projector screen, which was a fun little detail. With around 490 people on our guest list, we had over 62 tables. We had seating arrangements displayed in calligraphy on a 7-foot tall, elegant mirror. Our first dance was to ‘Yours’ by Russell Dickerson––it has always been our song since the beginning. For the father-daughter(s) dance, we started with Cody Johnson’s ‘God Bless the Boy’ and ended with Meghan Trainor––it was such a fun remix that no one expected, and both sisters joined us on the dance floor. My sisters also did a remix for their speech, changing the lyrics of a song to fit our love story. We made many #WISEDECISIONS for our big day, which was perfect. We can’t thank our family and friends enough for helping make our day so special.”
