Claire + Donovan's Louisville Wedding

From the Bride: When planning our wedding we were very intent on making sure our celebration was a true reflection of us, both individually and as a couple. Our ceremony was a traditional Catholic liturgy at St. Boniface with both of us selecting our favorite readings.

Our reception space was designed to showcase a classic, whimsical feel set against a city landscape complete with white draping, gold accents, mixed bright florals and greenery against floor to ceiling windows looking out into lights of downtown. Our main course consisted of our favorite Mexican dishes representing our first trip together to Mexico. Our late night snack bar was filled with Italian favorites representing our engagement trip to Italy. Our cake consisted of chocolate raspberry (her favorite), red velvet (his favorite), and classic almond crème (everyone’s favorite). Our dog, LadyBird, couldn’t be at the wedding but was represented with our signature “Ladybird Spritz” cocktail and matching Ladybird embossed napkins. We danced our first dance to "Millionaire" by Chris Stapleton. Our band, Best Kept Secret, played all of our favorite songs and made to sure to let the groom have his moment rapping along to his signature wedding song “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Bride’s Advice: Invest in a day of coordinator! Having someone whose sole job was to make sure everything went smoothly for the entire day was worth every penny. It was so nice being able to soak in the day and be present with my husband and guests, rather than worry about every little detail. You won’t regret it!
