Taylor + Mark's Versailles Wedding
From the Bride: Our wedding was absolutely perfect! We opted for black and white colors which were classic and chic! The bridesmaids wore black floor length Adrianna Papell dresses and their flowers were white to match mine. The groomsmen and bridesmen wore classic black tuxes. Instead of a first look with the bride and groom, I did a first look with my dad. My dad's outfit was a surprise for me as well (he is very much into fashion), so we had so much fun doing the first look together. He wore a custom made tuxedo that had subtle black velvet polka dots all over. Mark did not see me for the first time until I walked down the aisle. We had a pianist play Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley when my dad walked me down the aisle. I loved this because he teared up as soon as he saw me.
Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day and the ceremony was supposed to be outside in the courtyard at the Castle so we had to move everything under the tent where our cocktail hour was also being hosted. It all worked out though! Our reception was amazing as well! We decided to do stations for dinner. We had a pasta station that had different toppings and both red and white sauce, salad station, carving station with prime rib, and a mashed potato bar. We also did a dessert station in addition to our cake. We did his and hers cocktails and Mark's was a Kentucky Mule with Ale 8 and mine was a Spicy Margarita because I lived in Texas for 9 years. Our band was so much fun and our dance floor was packed the entire night. As wedding favors, every guest received a full size bottle of champagne which was a big hit. Our day couldn't have been any more perfect!
Bride’s Advice: Things will never go exactly to plan! You just have to go with the flow and soak up every minute of the day because it goes by so fast.
