Bethany + Steven's Corbin Wedding

From the Bride: It’s never too late for love! In a world where fairy tales are not just reserved for the young, our story of finding love later in life shines a light on the beauty of second chances. Steve had never had a wedding so I wanted to make sure he had a small intimate wedding surrounded by the people that meant the most to us.

We were fortunate to have a wealth of talented and skillful family members and friends whom we called upon for their invaluable assistance. My daughter, Carley took on the responsibility of creating the stunning floral arrangements, showcasing her artistic talent and adding a touch of beauty to our special day. Steve’s daughter, Emily, played a crucial role by capturing the precious moments of our wedding day through her photography skills, preserving the memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Janet, my sister, graciously took charge of making the wedding cake and cookies, showcasing her culinary expertise and adding a delightful sweetness to our joyous celebration. Steve’s daughter, Jennifer, skillfully and beautifully did my makeup, and Jeff Godsey, my hairdresser, did my hair, making me feel like a glowing bride on my wedding day. The loving support of our friends and family extended beyond their talents, as they dedicated their time and effort to help decorate the venue and assist with the food arrangements. Their contributions added a personal touch and a sense of togetherness that made our wedding day truly memorable

The anticipated moment arrived and the beautiful ceremony began. I was walked down the aisle by my three children. The ceremony was heartwarming as we exchanged rings and promised to love each other for a lifetime. Following the ceremony, the celebration shifted to the reception. With his expert skills, the family friend and DJ, James Parker, made sure the dance floor was never empty. Our first dance was to “Growing Old With You” by Restless Road. Throughout the night, friends and family took turns displaying their best dance moves, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and celebration. As the night drew to a close, it came time for us to bid our guest farewell. We stepped out of the venue hand in hand, surrounded by bubbles blown by our friends and family and embarked on our journey together. All in all, it was a day that left our hearts full of happiness and with a sense of profound gratitude for the beginning of our beautiful journey together.

Bride’s Advice: Base your decisions on what holds significance to both you and your spouse and remain calm if things don't unfold according to your plan.
