Sawyer + Kylee's Beautiful Eastern Kentucky Wedding

From the Bride: We chose September 7, the groom's late Papaw Jerry’s birthday, as our big day. The ceremony took place nestled in the beautiful mountains of Eastern Kentucky, it was the perfect place for us to unite as one. This venue encompasses both impeccable beauty and simplicity at the same time.

Me and my bridal party were all prettied up and the bridesmaids were dressed in deep crimson velvet and chiffon, while the groomsmen were striking in navy tuxedos trimmed with crimson accents. I wore a sleek ivory Jacquelin Exclusive ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and a rhinestone and pearl-encrusted belt. Sawyer, my groom, was fancied in a navy tailored suit with a crimson tie. Let’s not forget his fabulous beard! Both the bride and the wedding party bouquets and boutonnières were composed of garden roses, peonies, and hydrangeas in hues that mimicked the chosen colors of the day.

The entranceway to the cove displayed draping that danced in the wind with reminders of cherished loved ones watching from above. The backdrop for the ceremony was 19th-century French doors surrounding a Victorian chandelier with jewel tone florals draping the top. Various lanterns illuminated the sacred ground while the lawn was filled with beautiful vintage seating.

The reception took place in Barbourville and was transformed one of the town’s staples into the perfect spot to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs. The ceiling was draped with a combination of hundreds of feet of string lighting and live greenery garland. Greens cascaded from the ceiling to grand columns that cornered the dance floor while shades of blue light climbed the walls. Tables were embellished with champagne velvet and jewel-tone flowers that seemed to have taken root in the center. Vintage mismatched china was the perfect touch that added the “WOW” factor to the eye. The X-back chairs gave a rustic flare to this enchanted reception as did the solid wooden farm tables that lined the front for the whole wedding party. The bride and groom table included an array of brass candlesticks with candles to echo the tones of the day. Guests were greeted with assorted hors d'oeuvres and a sumptuous meal before they were treated to the exquisitely made 5-tier wedding cake, that highlighted the center of the dance floor and served as the cherry on top for this magical union.

As guests left for the evening, they had the opportunity to snap a photo at the unique photo booth that was comprised of a deep red velvet love seat dripped with gemstone colored pillows in front of a greenery wall. The day left guests full of joy and as though they were “On Cloud Corey” for sure.

From early morning until the wee hours of the evening, every moment of this perfect day was meticulously captured.
