Sunnie + Patrick's Family Focused Wedding

From the Bride: The Yates- Mullins wedding day was one to remember. It was the my birthday, the 21st of September. What greater gift can one receive than the commitment of life-long love. We were wed in the heart of Kentucky at Lebanon's heavenly Saint Augustine Catholic Church. Patrick had spent the last ten years working as a firefighter and hotel manager in Aspen, Co. His love for the mountains, though immense, never quite reached the heights he needed for fulfillment. At the suggestion of his mother he frequented his local Catholic Church to pray to Mary for the missing piece in his life. Our ceremony paid homage to answered prayers. Our ring bearer, my son, carried the rings inside a book of prayers by Mother Teresa. The bride’s brilliantly colored bouquet featured a silver charm with a picture of her late father.

The reception was held at the Iron Bridge Farm, where we now reside. The evening affair featured colorful florals and hand crafted accents. A hand carved wooden swing became the nights most popular hangout. The bar was lit with a cobalt "Mullins" neon sign. While the patrons were lit by local bourbons and "blushing brides" a signature cocktail all served in cobalt glassware. The head table boasted a colorful canopy of flowers trailing down from two more handmade wooden swings. Each blue and white floral dish was adorned with customized napkins and wooden name markers. Along with the swings, the groom built an entrance foyer to the tent. Outdoor vintage couches, rugs and coffee tables provided conversation nooks for guest to meet or catch up.

I wore Grace Philip's breathtaking Verity gown. The royal cathedral train was complimented by an even longer pearl veil and I changed into a satin Catherine Deane gown for the reception.
