Katie + Jeremy's Classic Timeless Wedding

From the Bride: My absolute favorite part of my wedding that made it so special was the custom blue jean jacket. This wasn't just any ordinary jean jacket, this jacket was custom made from a pair of overalls that my late grandpa passed down to me. My grandpa wore overalls every day of his life whether he was going to work or going to church. When he passed away in January of 2019, my grandma had given all 8 grandchildren a pair of his overalls. I instantly knew that I wanted to take the bottom half of the overalls and have a custom jacket made from it for my wedding. And I did just that. I had my new last name painted across that back, but the most special part was when I popped the collar up, the words "Papaw Oscar" were revealed. Tears were brought to so many eyes in that room. My family circled up on the dance floor and we danced to his favorite song, "Long Haired Country Boy" in honor of him with my jacket on and the collar popped. On my memory table along with the jacket sat a portrait of him wearing the overalls, the top half of the overalls in a shadow box, and a poem reflecting the meaning of the jacket.

So many details of our wedding were out of this world but the one thing that stood out from other wedding was my cake table. It was a show stopper. We had a stand with a large gold metal hoop, with a vintage bourbon barrel that had a glass table top, and my beautiful cake in the center. The floral's that covered the hoop were breath taking. Not to mention our signature cake flavor that was "cereal cake" flavor featuring fruity pebbles. We heard about that cake flavor for weeks upon week after the wedding. It was a hit! One other tiny detail that I loved was the ring my husband gifted to me the day of the wedding. When we chose September as our wedding month, I mentioned I wanted a blue sapphire ring to represent the month of September. I thought nothing of it after I mentioned it that one time, but then on the day of, my Maid of Honor handed me a ring box and I saw a vintage blue sapphire ring inside, I felt so special. I couldn't believe that tiny detail I mentioned over a year ago, he had remember the entire time and surprised me with it for my "Something Blue".

Grooms favorite- My favorite part of this day was our first look. Just the two of us standing there, meeting for the first time that day, a huge pit in my stomach, and sweat on my palms, the second I turned around and saw the most beautiful bride smiling ear to ear was the best moment of my entire life. I have never experienced such raw emotion. My favorite detail was the matching wooden watches I got for my groomsmen. This gave such a vintage look to our apparel and thought it stood out from other groomsmen gifts given at weddings. And we can't forget about our awesome entrance to the reception to the song "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire, because it was the 21st night of September! Our guest hyped us up so much when that song came on, I felt famous walking in with my new wife!
