Telia + Justin's Rustic Intimate Wedding

From the Bride: Our outdoor wedding was simply magical. We met in Lexington and love the outdoors so our location was the best of both. We had champagne for our guests to enjoy during the ceremony while seated on wooden benches under the shade of historic trees and dogwood blooms. Our ceremony was under a beautiful old tree with a circle arch draped in wisteria. I walked down a long natural path escorted by my mother and father under a grove of blooming dogwoods.

We wanted our wedding to feel personal and intimate so we included a few special touches. Our lab mix Faye was one of the groomsmen because she is truly a man's best friend. We wrote our own vows and were married by one of our best friends. Our reception was just after sunset under a clear tent draped with boxwoods, eucalyptus, lanterns, and succulents. We had a popcorn bar, wooden dance floor, BBQ dinner, and mini succulents for each guest to take home.

My favorite part of the day was the ceremony and getting to visit with family and friends during the reception. The ceremony was just perfect, from the light of the setting sun to the vows, my handsome husband, my nieces reading of a beautiful poem, the smiling faces of our loved ones, and every other personal touch. I think about it all the time and feel so blessed to have had such an amazing and special wedding. Our reception was so much fun and I loved every minute of it. Our guests enjoyed a DJ, vintage yard games like croquet, and a bourbon barrel bar under the stars on a beautiful Kentucky summer night.
