Sidney + Chase's Picture Perfect Day

From the Bride: Our wedding day was the picture perfect day that I had dreamed of since I was a little girl. Sadly it had rained all morning long but, by the grace of God, the sun began to shine 10 minutes before the ceremony started. We got married surrounded by 300 of our closest friends and family with a 30 person wedding party. We were married under a church alter that my dad and his best friend had built for us based off of a picture I saw on Pinterest. We then went inside and danced the night away until we drove off in his late grandfather’s ‘72 red Volkswagen Super Beetle.

My favorite part of the wedding day was getting to drive my husband and I away from the ceremony site. I work at the Kentucky Horse Park and my boss was kind enough to bring my favorite horse, Quinn the English Shire, over for the day. He was decked out in special ribbons and harness just for the occasion. He dropped off me and my dad and then after the ceremony I jumped in the driver seat and drove us away. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will cherish forever.

The groom’s favorite part about the wedding was having all of our friends and family in one place. We both come from huge families so to have them all together that day was amazing. He also loved the dance party that happened at the reception. His mom and him started the party with a surprise dance routine during their mother and son dance. It was a mix of songs that he had grown up listening to and ended with, “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” because it is from their favorite movie, Toy Story.
