Julie + David's Timeless Speed Art Museum Wedding

From the Bride: The moment we walked into The Speed Art Museum, we knew it was the venue for us. The natural light, sparkling windows and surrounding art, not to mention the glass staircase, were absolute stunners. We knew it would be the perfect background for the wedding of our dreams—a night of love, fun and celebrating with our family and friends.

The whole wedding was personal and special. The decor was inspired by a brass candelabra that belonged to my grandmother. I spent the year before the wedding scouting yard sales, thrift stores and Goodwills to find brass candlesticks to complete the decor. My bracelet was made from her wedding hair piece. For dessert, we had donuts and cheesecakes. Donuts have been my favorite since I was a little girl. David chose cheesecake. This is special to us because just after we starting dating, it was David’s birthday. I asked his favorite dessert and he said cheesecake. I made him a cheesecake that year and every birthday since. Overall, every detail was us and helped us celebrate our love with everyone we love.

The day was absolutely perfect. It had rained all day, but as soon as I walked down the stairs to meet David, the sun broke through the clouds and shined bright on our special day.
