Christa + Zach's Classic Southern Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding was a long awaited day (I married the man who stole my heart since I was 15 years old) that finally ended our long-distance college days. It was scheduled to rain all week but the day of the wedding it was a beautiful 80 degrees with a light breeze. Our day was full of pure joy and love. For me, one of the most special moments of the day was when Zach and I met up on each side of the door (because we did not do a first look) and read letters we had written to one another and prayed together. This was a moment that we could reflect together before we said "I do" and it soothed the nervous jitters. The ceremony was outside on the porch of the barn where guests could see rolling hills and green farm land all around. There were a few special details that made our day everything I could have ever hoped for. My 11-year old sister (Maid of Honor) sang in our ceremony which touched the hearts of all of our guests and there was not a dry eye in the seats. We made our first walk as Mr. and Mrs. to Here Comes the Sun and the sun came out of the clouds in that perfect moment.

The reception was filled with lots of laughter and everyone definitely brought out their dancing shoes. We had a few special decorations to make the reception space personalized. A candle remained burning the entire reception in memory of all of our loved ones who have gone before us. We also had the wedding photos of both of our parents and 4 grandparents who had set a great example of loving one another and amazing marriages. Half of the tables were decorated with antique oil lamps that have been passed down through the generations and allowed me to display my love for treasured antiques. The bridal party also performed one of my favorite line dances together. The night concluded with surprise fireworks shot off on a friend’s neighboring family farm as we made our sparkler send-off exit.
