Erin + Clay's Vintage Wedding
From the Photographer: This wedding was so different and unique from any other wedding I've ever captured. Everything about the details were so special to the both the Bride and Groom. Erin and Clay were high school sweethearts and got to watch each other grow up into the man and woman they have now become. Their vision for the day was to make everything as personal and sentimental as possible. Their mutual childhood best friend Connor, got the honor of being the officiant of the day, while their power couple best friends stood the closest beside them and rapped their speeches to the tune of a Taylor Swift song.
Both families united their creative talents to make most of the small and large details of their day. Erin and her father together made the gorgeous wooden arbor you see at the center of the aisle as well as the "treeo branch cake stand" as they named it, and the log stand that their own wedding cake sat on. All of the cakes, fruits and desserts were made by the groom's Aunt Connie! Erin even designed and made her invitations and Save the Dates herself! All of the family pitched in to cater the food and her dad also made the barbecue sauce that would make most people believe he should start his own food truck!
They both wanted a vintage but chic style wedding, so they combined all different vintage centerpieces which were all found at antique stores nearby, adding a little bit of glam by using rose gold glitter tablecloths on the wedding party table as well as the cake table. The center pieces ranged from all sorts of candelabras to vintage lanterns. They also wanted a lot of florals to be incorporated throughout every aspect of the wedding including the Groom's tie and Bride's hairpiece. The Groom's attire was the definition of his personality...totally just extra. They are both one in the same and compliment each other so well...so well, that their own vows were almost the exact same. Erin's laugh is so contagious and you can see how much Clay absolutely adores her. This wedding is one that I will hold dear to my heart. These two aren't just clients, they are family.
