Kalli and Kevin’s Park Wedding

From the bride: Our wedding day started with feelings of excitement and nerves, as is expected on the day you say “I do” to your best friend. Everything went as planned, including holding off the thunderstorm that just barely scraped by our venue and forgivingly took the temperature out of the 90s. A few rumbles of thunder behind us during the ceremony didn’t distract from the beautiful scenery.

We both really wanted an outdoor venue, one that would be small and intimate. We lived close to Ault Park and would always spend sunny days there with a picnic or an evening walk. Our wedding day was present. Our ceremony was at 4 o’clock in the afternoon so we were able to really enjoy the whole day. Walking down the aisle at the Rose Garden was such a crazy blur! It was wild to see all of the most important people in your life and to see Kevin waiting for me at the end. Our reception was filled with dancing, cozy food (which is our favorite!), and pie! We rented an ice cream machine to add a little topping to the yummy hot pie slices. We’re excited about married life and most importantly, doing it side by side.
