Juleah and Donnie's Whitehall Wedding

Elegant and Contemporary Wedding for Juleah and Donnie

From the bride: They say you spend months planning for one of the biggest days of your life, and then it passes by in the blink of an eye. I wanted to savor every moment of it: spending the morning surrounded by women who have played invaluable roles at various stages of my life. And, watching as my junior bridesmaid stole the show, smiling through tears at my mom and sister as they helped me into the lace dress we chose together (the first dress I tried on). Then, holding my dad and brother close to me for the "first look" as my brother shook with emotion and hearing my cousin sing the opening lines of "A Life That's Good" as my dear aunt led my grandfather down the aisle. Turning the corner into the garden of Whitehall Mansion, I was surrounded by a gathering of so many important people in my life looking on as I gazed straight ahead at the man who had stolen my heart. But the magic didn't stop there. We popped open the champagne and slipped off our shoes so we could dance the night away in the dog days of summer. And because it's really all about timing and details, Taco Bell showed up with the late night meal to give us all a boost for that last song. My husband says he once read, "A wedding isn't a party and it's not a performance. It's about you and your partner being married at the end of the day, and that being all that really matters." Well, he says, "We did all three of those things," and I say, "We had the time of our lives doing them."
