Next to You: Madison and Anthony's Farmington, Kentucky Wedding

Madison and Anthony’s August 27th wedding in Farmington, Kentucky is one for the ages.

“The overall aspect of Anthony’s friends and family being there along with all of my people was equally mind-boggling and heartwarming for us,” says Madison. “It was so strange getting ready in my childhood bedroom with my favorite ladies in the world and Anthony’s mum getting ready right downstairs. What sticks out to me from my wedding day was not the details we had meticulously thought through but how much love I felt from everyone involved. We could’ve gotten married anywhere in the world, but having it at my parents’ home in Kentucky made everything more special.

Beautiful seems like an understatement when discussing the venue. The florals were everywhere and natural-looking, just as I had imagined. The fountain in the pond created an idyllic scene, and the sky was a late summer hue of orange and blue. I remember being at the top of the aisle and thinking, ‘This looks like a movie it’s so stunning’ (that includes the handsome Englishman waiting to marry me at the end of the beach). Yes, we managed to get married on a beach in a backyard!

The craft food and drink made our wedding night stand out. We went with a local food truck serving a few different options: Wagyu beef burgers, fish tacos, summer strawberry salad, shrimp and sausage, and fish ‘n chips. My mom and I hand-picked the cocktails, which I believe everyone thoroughly enjoyed. This quote from a guest’s Facebook post says it all, ‘The people, the music, decorations, and oh my - the flowers, were just incredible! I found that I love crumpets, espresso martinis, a British accent, and that two countries sure can have fun at a party.’ It felt like a relaxed and wildly fun celebration with good food and drink, great music, and a lot of love.”
