Kaitlin and Garrett had an intimate wedding on the shores of Lake Como in Laglio, Italy. Kaitlin says, “Our ceremony took place on the upper terrace of the villa, with apéritifs and cocktails to follow on the lower terrace. During the ceremony, Garrett and I combined two colors of glass crystals into a common vessel as part of a unity ceremony. After our return from the wedding, we worked with Trifecta Glass Lounge to turn the glass crystals into a unity vase that we will cherish forever. A string trio provided beautiful instrumentals for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Following cocktail hour, Garrett and I enjoyed a private boat ride while our guests enjoyed a separate boat ride. Cruising on Lake Como at sunset was the best way to take in those ‘We just got married!’ feelings. Our dinner was served under the garden pergola at the villa. We started the meal with smoked goose salad and salmon carpaccio, followed by the most incredible risotto, and a rack of pistachio-crusted lamb. Our wedding day holds a strong meaning for my husband’s family: his maternal grandparents and parents were both married on September 10th, and our wedding day was his parents’ 40th anniversary. I was lucky enough to wear the pearl necklace his grandmother and mother wore on their wedding days. Our day was filled with love, joy, fantastic food, and a lot of wine! Most importantly, we felt no stress and were able to kick back, relax, and enjoy every minute.”
