Taylor + Tyler's Merefield Farm Wedding
From the Bride: Our wedding I would classify as a "boho" inspired theme. Tyler and I both put a lot of thought and effort into the day and we had several wonderful family members and friends that also helped us to organize and plan a lot of the day. I can still smell the lavender that my bridesmaids prepared to be thrown at the end of the wedding.
Family was very important for me to incorporate into our wedding. Our dog Molly was the flower dog, and was assisted by my aunt. Molly definitely stole the show, she sat next to my husband and I as we said our vows and smiled in all the pictures. My uncle was the officiant for our wedding, he did an amazing job and made sure to do the best job for us making it so special! My mother and grandmother walked me down the aisle, both of these women have raised me, playing a major role in shaping the person that I am today, so it only made sense to have them be the individuals sending me off into married life.
I would say the most memorable sight would be when the barn doors opened up and I got to see Tyler in his tux smiling at me as I walked down the aisle. I loved the song "Still falling for you" by Ellie Goulding that was played as my bridesmaids walked down the aisle. We will never forget our first kiss, it was definitely mine and Tyler’s favorite touch of the day. Tyler also remembers holding my hand for the first time and the smell of my perfume as we stood at the alter. After the ceremony we all had a blast dancing, celebrating, and singing (very loudly) all night! We both loved the candied pork belly tacos served at our reception. Tyler still remembers the sound of the first dance song come over the stereo after spending countless hours looking for the right song. It was perfect. His favorite sight of the day was seeing me on the dance floor during our first dance as the sun set.
I am very grateful for the entire team or vendors and professionals that joined us for our special day. The week of the wedding my makeup artist had to canceled due to some unfortunate circumstances, but luckily I had kept all of my Kentucky Bride magazines and found the most perfect makeup artist, Katy Moody Cusick. She was exactly what I wanted for the day! Christopher Marshall was the all around MVP, fixing shoes, veils, directing, and coordinating everything he was amazing! I also have to mention again our vendors coming all the way from Hurricane, West Virginia and getting licensed in Kentucky just for our wedding!
