Olivia + Tyler's Castle & Key Wedding

Our wedding embraced being in the heart of bourbon country. While being held at the beautiful Castle & Key Distillery our guests were surrounded by rickhouses and gardens while enjoying some Kentucky Derby staple drinks such as Old Fashioneds, Derby Spires, and the Oaks Lily.

Before our ceremony we wrote letters to each other to read separately while we anxiously waited to walk down the aisle. My husband thought we were going to be doing a first look but he was surprised by his brother in a wedding dress instead. Our ceremony was held in the sunken garden followed by the cocktail hour at the spring house. It was the perfect day filled with so much love.

The party began at the reception with dinner and dances. We danced our first dance to “This Too Shall Last” by Anderson East. Instead of doing a bouquet toss my flowers were dedicated to my mom who helped put all of the planning together. The night ended with our last dance where it was just myself and my husband left on the dance floor. We embraced the calm and simplicity of just being together sharing this last moment of our wedding day and to celebrate the beginning of our journey.

Bride’s Advice: Our advice would be to slow down and trust that everything will work out. Take a moment to appreciate the people helping plan and the vendors that will make your day go smoothly.
