From the Bride: JB and I were both born and raised in Bardstown. We met early on in high school and started dating shortly after that. We both went away to UK for college but realized after living in the big city that we couldn't wait to get back to Bardstown. When planning our wedding we decided to include a place that meant so much to us that played such a big part in our history--his parent’s home. This is where we all got ready the morning of, and also where our reception took place.

We chose October as our wedding month because we love the time of year and also all of the colors that come out in the changing season. We were slightly worried about the weather, given it can go in any direction, so one month prior to our big day we brought out the old Southern Tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon to ward off bad weather! We dug this bottle up the morning of our wedding with our wedding party and all took a shot! Turns out the tradition works because the day couldn't have been any prettier.

Our wedding was everything we'd ever dreamed of. Every detail was spot on with our vision and our team of vendors really worked hard to make that happen for us. Starting and ending the day in such a special place meant so much to us. We are so glad we chose to include that property in our day because it is somewhere we can always go back to and remenice.

Bride’s Advice: You can take advice and suggestions from others but at the end of the day it's your day! Make sure at the end of everything you can say it went exactly as you hoped and you have no regrets!
