Meredith + Greg's Louisville Wedding

Meredith and Greg had the perfect autumn wedding day they were hoping for. Meredith says, “Our fall-inspired color palette came to life with touches of velvet, candles, and lots of florals. A Kentucky tradition states that burying a bottle of Kentucky bourbon exactly one month before your wedding date will bring good weather on your big day (it worked!). As I got ready with my bridesmaids, my soon-to-be husband took his groomsmen out to dig up the bottle and toast for our wedding day. My dad walked me down the aisle under the covered porch as our harpist played ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love.’ The sunset made for stunning ceremony photos, and our cocktail hour featured a bluegrass band where our guests enjoyed the music while having drinks and appetizers by the fire. At the reception, guests found their seating assignments written on pumpkins. The dinner menu included fried chicken with a bourbon cider glaze and a maple dijon brisket. One of our signature cocktails was a fall-inspired cider margarita, which was a hit! Popcorn was out in the foyer for guests to enjoy at the end of the night and take with them on the ride home. We had the best night dancing and celebrating with our friends and family––a special thank you to my parents for everything they did to make our wedding dreams come true. It’s a day we will cherish forever!”
