Megan + Alex's Crestwood Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding day was full of surprises and excitement! I am a dance team coach and one of my bridesmaids coaches with me so she had our girls surprise me with a flash mob at the reception! Our food was also another amazing detail! Instead of a traditional buffet, we set up stations! We had a taco station, pasta station, carving station, potato station, and kid station complete with mini corn dogs, mac and cheese, chicken tenders, fries, and photos of Alex and I as little kids all around it! We finished the night with a food truck serving grilled cheese sliders and tomato soup shooters! Our gift to our guests was flip flops! A lot of time the girls have to take their heels off and since our reception was outside, we provided flip flops for everyone! Our first dance was to “With You I Am” by Cody Johnson. Another surprise/detail was the mother daughter dance. My father is not in my life so my mom is everything to me! We started with a fun choreographed routine to Mom by Meghan Trainor. About a minute into that song the DJ skipped the track and went to the song Mama’s Song by Carrie Underwood. The surprise part was I had gone to the recording studio and recorded this song for my mom! She was completely surprised and it had the whole reception tearing up! It was beautiful! Our wedding cake was yellow cake with raspberry filling and we had mini Bundt cakes in 6 different flavors! Another detail that was very cool was the bar we had in the tent. Our tent was draped with beautiful chandeliers hanging in the middle. In the corner we had a horse trailer bar! It was originally a single horse trailer that had been painted and converted into a bar. Our His and Hers cocktails were an Old Fashioned for him and hers was an Amaretto Sour. It was a huge hit with our guests! Bride’s Advice: The saying I was told and feel like all brides should hear is - if it doesn’t affect the goal of the day, which is marrying the love of your life, don’t stress about it!
