Lauren + Isaac's Refinery Wedding

From the Bride: My husband and I wanted to make sure that every single person invited to our wedding knew they were invited with intention; because we love them deeply. We wanted them all to feel important and welcomed and that we wanted them there that day. We decided to write each person a personal note; for the people my husband met first - he started the note, and I wrote second and vice versa for the people I met first. It made us feel so good to reminisce on memories with our favorite people and basically write everyone a special love note. We may not ever get the opportunity again to tell these people how much we love them in such a tangible way!

My most memorable sight from my wedding day was seeing my husband waiting for me for our first look - I was hiding but could still see him. He had the cutest nervous look on his face and when he saw me, we both lit up with giant smiles. We both thought we'd cry - but we didn't. We just smiled and laughed! Another unique touch was the backdrop behind our head table was lyrics from our first dance song.. "on & on &on I'm yours"

After the ceremony, we walked to the very back of the courtyard behind a rod iron gate and our family came down the aisle next. My nephews (ring bearers) ran back to the aisle and grabbed some of the flower pedals and were excitedly throwing them above us into the air and cheering. I hugged them so tight because that cute little energetic gesture made me so happy.

We served pizza fresh from a wood fired oven, and they also used that oven to serve warm cookies towards the end of the evening! The best bite I had all day was our wedding cake! It was a made by a friend of mine (who makes cakes on the side). It was a 10 layer round cookie cake and it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. My favorite sound by far was our first dance song playing. More specifically, there is a line in the song that goes "grateful to be here, holding your hand" and I literally couldn't help myself - I raised my arms in the air shouting the lyrics to my hubby and jumped up and down because it's exactly how I felt in that moment. Grateful to be his.
