Laura + Wesley's Louisville Wedding

From the Bride: Planning our wedding through the COVID 19 pandemic definitely provided extra challenges. There were many times that we thought we would be completely safe from any changes or restrictions and times that we had absolutely no idea what would happen. This suspense added lots of layers of stress but also made our day even that more special when everything perfectly fell into place.
I will always remember our first look with my husband. He already had tears in his eyes when he turned around and the smell of the hydrangeas filled the garden.

Cooper (our golden retriever) was able to be part of our ceremony and walked down the aisle right before the bride. He stole the show and everyone was impressed with how cute and well behaved he was. We were married by my oldest childhood friend. Having her perform the ceremony added a very personal and unique touch to our wedding. The most memorable touch of the day was putting my husband's ring on his finger after we exchanged our personally written vows.

For our bar, we had a horse racing starting gate from "Thirsty Thoroughbred." This added an incredible touch of Kentucky to the venue. Our two signature drinks were a bourbon slushy (our favorite) named "The Cooper," and a frozen rose named "The Penny." Both drinks were named after our two golden retrievers. We ended the night by going into the house with an acoustic duet from our band and had pizza from "The Post."
