Kelsie + Ross' Winchester Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding day started at a special place for our first look. We decided to have our first look at Ross' family-owned golf course: Southwind. This started our day off so special because of the meaning the course has to Ross and I. Ross grew up on the golf course, we currently live on the course, and we got engaged there. This made our beginning of our day so memorable in such a meaningful spot for our relationship--we even had our dog Roary join us for a few pictures! After we did our first look, we got to head onto the party bus we rented for both of our bridal parties. We had a total of 26 people in our wedding party! Yes, you read that right--13 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen. This was one thing that stood out to me about our day. We had many people questioning our decision about having such a large bridal party--but to us this MADE our wedding. The love, support, hype, encouragement, and FUN our people brought us while we were getting ready, driving from one stop to the other, taking pictures and on the dance floor was unmatched. Each person we had by our side means so much to us and is such a significant part of who we are; either growing up or sometime throughout our lives and relationship. Having the big bridal party was a major highlight for our day. We had our ceremony at the Winchester First Christian Church held by my past high school principal: Bobby Bennett. The wonderful ceremony was full of love and excitement. We had University of Kentucky flags and pom-poms with our exit down the church steps. Ross and I are both HUGE Kentucky sports fan so the UK memorabilia was a must have for us. One thing we did differently was held a formal reception at the Winchester Opera House and then hosted an After Party at Southwind Golf Course. The Winchester Opera House was absolutely stunning, decorated perfectly from the white tablecloths, the amazing table arrangements with the white florals and greenery from Neal Linville Designs and our "Roary's Bar" named after our pup. We had our guest book set up with RipTide DJ's Photobooth where our guests were able to take a photobooth picture and use it as a party favor and add one to our guest book--which was a hit! We did our first dance Dancing Away With My Heart by: Dillion Carmichael, special dances, cake cutting, formal dinner and speeches all at the opera house. After the perfect formal reception, we exited out with amazing floor sparklers also from RipTide DJ. Our night ended with the After Party at Southwind where RipTide DJ Matt helped us dance the night away. At the after party we had unlimited dancing, 5ft LOVE lights and a midnight snack from Reggie's Bar and Grill. We even got lucky with an extra hour of dancing from daylight savings time. November 6th was our dream wedding with all our favorite people. Cheers from the Todd's.

Bride’s Advice: A piece of advice I wish someone had told me about wedding planning would be to always be yourselves, make decisions on what is important to you and make your wedding feel personal and memorable for you and your partner. Making our decisions on exactly how we wanted our day made our wedding perfect for US!
