Kelsey + Matthew's Springfield Wedding
From the Bride: There were several moments that still stick in my mind. One of those being our love timeline. We had someone from Etsy make our love timeline in photos. From meeting at homecoming, to our first date, to getting engaged, and it even showcased where we were just married. We gave her some details and she ran with them. We even included our dog (which we also had wooden drink stirrers with our dogs face on one side and our wedding date on the other.) We displayed it at our wedding and it really showed our guests how we fell in love.
Another moment was when my father-in- law gave the toast right before the prayer at the meal. He really embodied how everyone was feeling that day. Everyone was having so much fun and could truly feel the love in the air. The theme was "A Goode Day for a White Wedding" that has my maiden last name White and our new last name "Goode." Our families joining as one was truly magic. I (the bride) have never seen my father in law tear up, so seeing him get emotional during his speech made me tear up for the first time that day. My husband and I looked at each other and both had tears in our eyes. We hugged Matthew's parents and when I looked up I could see all my aunts and cousins with huge smiles on their faces and I lost it for the second time that day. Having the people you love there to celebrate the person you love most in the world is something I will never forget.
The most memorable moment for my husband and I both was the sparkler exit. It is cliche' and everyone does it, but in that moment it felt like our own movie moment. I actually didn't want to have a sparkler exit but my husband really wanted it. Our DJ played "Anyone" by Justin Bieber and as we ran down through all of the people who we love the most laughing and cheering us on, it felt like our whole lives led to that moment. It was the most special moment between us. There's a photo from that night of us just standing in the middle of everyone with huge smiles on our faces, and it encompasses our whole wedding day.
