Kailen + Jody's Farmington Wedding

From the Bride: The vision for my wedding day was all things bright with a mix of rustic and elegant touches. I decided to go with shades of coral, hot pink, and orange for my flowers which brought so much color to my day. I used king protea with some greenery for my bridesmaid’s bouquets and I had my florist place two protea in my bouquet as well to tie them all together. I loved the king protea because they were such a unique flower and different than I had ever seen at a wedding before, they came all the way from Houston, TX. for my big day! My wedding planners/decorators used shades of blues in some of my table candles and navy goblets on the head table which added a nice pop of a different color that still tied to all the pinks. A pink phone booth was even used to house our audio guestbook phone which perfectly completed my vision of all things bright.

Our reception had an open bar that included signature drinks named after our dog and cat, The Myla-Rita and The Tipsy Trixie. But what made our bar so special was that it was handmade by several of our neighbors. They worked many hours perfecting the bar for us and our special day. A metal H was made by my father and our neighbors used this to brand our initial into the bar. This was such a special detail that we will get to use in our future shop one day.

One of my most favorite details from my wedding day was my "something blue", which was my dads first generation Dodge Cummins pickup truck. This truck has been a part of my family for several years now and is known as Ol' Blue. I had a dream one night that we rode up to my wedding day in Ol' Blue, so I decided to make that dream a reality. Right before it was time for me to walk down the aisle me and my dad drove up in the truck, he opened the door for me and helped me get out, then we started our walk down the aisle to my future husband. It was such a special moment that me and my dad will cherish forever.

Bride’s Advice: Hire the wedding planner and/or day of coordinator. It was so nice knowing me or my family didn't have to worry about any of the decorating or setting up the day of and were able to get ready and enjoy the day together.
