Jessica + Logan's London Wedding
From the Bride: Our wedding was nothing short of a fairytale for Logan and I. It was a true representation of beginning our life together as husband and wife. We incorporated details that made memories that will last a lifetime. One detail that stands out is our homage to my Papaw, he passed from COVID this past year. All of our guests loved the story behind the 'Looney Tunes' necktie that hung from his photo sitting in the front pew beside my parents and grandmother. The tie was a tie he was learning how to make a knot with for Logan and my wedding. He would always joke "I've got a perfect tie for your wedding, sis". We got married on his birthday, October 2nd. Another detail that I hold close to my heart is how we chose to cement our vows with our unity cross that now hangs in our bedroom. Logan and I wanted something that had a true meaning of what marriage is and the unity cross was perfect. Our first dance is a great memory as we took dance lessons and I look back on them fondly as we practiced most evenings in the living room for our big day. Ever so often, we do the dance just to make sure we don't forget the moves, it is always something we smile about. When we moved into our home that we built, one of the first things we did was do our first dance in the kitchen.
My wedding advice would be that wedding planning can be super tedious and nerve racking but don't get caught up in all the craziness and forget what the day is about ultimately. When it comes down to it, you're marrying the love of your life, so take in every detail and soak up every moment.
