Devan and Grant's Hopkinsville Wedding
From the bride: Our wedding took place in the back yard of a beautiful mansion. It was the perfect backdrop for a very elegant wedding. We wanted our wedding to be a mix of traditional and fun. Since I am a wedding DJ on the side, I know the importance of setting a mood by the music selected to be played during the wedding. Our officiant, Brother Alan Miller, did such a great job of sharing the Love of God and his blessings on our marriage as well as personalizing the ceremony to us. There was laughter. There were tears. It was just perfect.
One thing that makes our wedding different than most people is that we had a beer pong table at the reception. Grant and I met at a fraternity party while we were both students at the University of KY, I challenged him to a game and beat him. For the wedding, we had a custom beer pong table made, which Grant stained and sealed it so we could have the game outside on the lawn of our venue. Since many people didn’t know exactly how we met, having the pong table there was a great way to share our story!
My favorite wedding day moment was when Grant and I got to have our first look together out in the vineyard, it was truly so special (thankfully for the pictures, my husband wears his heart on his sleeve.) He is the greatest man I've ever met and he makes me feel so special just by the way he looks at me! Grant said that his favorite wedding day moment was watching me walk down the aisle to him, even though we already had seen each other, he said this was his favorite because he knew it was officially "forever."
