Callie + Tyler's Jeffersonville, IN Wedding

From the Bride: When touring wedding venues, we fell in love with the very first space we visited. Our favorite detail of the venue was definitely the large semi-circle window with a view of the Louisville skyline. As soon as we saw that window, we couldn’t picture saying our vows or sharing our first dance with any other backdrop. We utilized the venue space for both ceremony and reception and it was the perfect size for our friends and family. The modern and minimal aesthetic of the space paired beautifully with our spring garden inspired flowers and simple decor.

My favorite part of the day was when we shared private vows and a first look at the nearby Falls of the Ohio State Park. It was just the two of us about 3 hours before our ceremony. I loved that it allowed us to spend so much time together on the day. This time calmed both of our nerves and led to us thoroughly enjoying the entire day. I walked down the aisle to an instrumental of “Invisible String” by Taylor Swift and we shared communion as our first act together as a married couple. Tyler was able to custom make the cutting board that held our communion elements. It’s a special piece from the day that we now get to keep in our home.

We kicked off the reception with our first dance to “Evermore'' by Hollow Coves followed by dinner. We wanted something different so we opted for a Gyro Buffet catered by one of our favorite restaurants, Eat A Pita in Louisville. A super fun aspect we added to the reception was a Coffee Bar catered by Tyler’s own coffee roasting company, Talk Coffee. We even served a signature lavender latte that was named after Lyric, our sweet cat! It was really neat to be able to serve our guests coffee that Tyler had actually roasted himself. We chose to have my bouquet and Tyler’s boutonniere made by our florist. We also ordered buckets of bulk stems from her to use throughout the rest of the wedding. One of my maid-of-honors and I spent the day before making bouquets for the bridesmaids, moms, and flower girl. We then used the leftover flowers to place in bud vases throughout the venue and on the tables as centerpieces. Planning the small details and DIY-ing so much of the wedding really made us love how personalized the ceremony and reception felt. From start to finish, it was a true reflection of each of us and the perfect day to start our lives together. It’s by far our favorite day!

Bride’s Advice: Focus on what is meaningful to you and your spouse and lean into how you want the day to feel. And have fun in the planning!
