Becca + Drew's Hopkinsville Wedding
From your Bride: I married the man of my dreams on April 17th 2021. A year prior our original wedding date was in July of 2020 and we had to postpone our wedding because he was on a deployment and could not return home because it was extended. We were both devastated and discussed having a small private wedding but easily decided against it because we loved every detail already planned for our wedding. So we picked a new date at the same venue with all of the same details. The venue we chose was Naimoli Estate, which we decided on because it was only 5 miles away from the home I grew up in. We had our ceremony at the Pergola surrounded by the beautiful vineyard and the dog wood trees. During the ceremony my husband wore his uniform, which was sentimental to me and him, given everything we had been through. I wore a beautiful white, elegant wedding dress and the flowers and wedding coordinating was done by Danielle from Ruffled Willow, who was a great family friend for many years. I was completely blown away by how beautiful the flower arrangements turned out. The food was unforgettable and the anticipation of the pasta bar had grown due to waiting for two years for the wedding. My wedding photographer was Raegan Garnet who used to be my roommate at Murray State University. The wedding photos look just as beautiful as in real life. The videographer was "Jen and Bob" and I am a very awkward person in the spotlight and they made it so much fun and I had a blast working with them. Hair and makeup was done by one of my high school friends as well as my bridesmaids makeup. Hayden Hendley was our preacher who is one of Drew's friends from high school who did a fabulous job.
I wanted as many personal touches in my wedding as possible. The linens were hand embroidered from around the world from my mother in law’s antique store in Aurora KY. I also wore a blue ring passed down in the Warnick's family, which was also recently wore by my sister in law during her wedding. My something borrowed was my bestfriend, Katie Rice, and Matron of Honor’s wedding veil. My something old was a penny given to me by my mother which we glued under my shoe, which she also wore at her wedding. I walked down the aisle with my flowers with a brooch given to me by my mother-in-law also passed down through the Warnick family. My mother spent weeks designing and coordinating with "Controlled Chaos" to create the table charts and the mirror signs from the wedding, which turned out beautiful. We had a signature drink named The Audoo, after me and Drew’s 9-year-old Yorkie Poodle.
My most memorable sight was the moment my future husband turned around and saw my wedding dress. Since we had to postpone our wedding, I had the dress for 2 years and the anticipation had built up. Another part that stood out the most to me was how many friends and family that we had show up to help us celebrate our marriage. The same friends and family who supported us both throughout a difficult deployment. We finally had the opportunity to spend time with our loved ones to celebrate. I hugged my Nanny so tight after not being able to touch her for almost a year and a half because of COVID-19 - this was one touch I remember so well. The anticipation leading up to being Andrew Warnick's wife was overwhelming. Waiting 2 years to eat Butter and Grace's Alfredo Pasta and Chicken, to smell the flowers from Ruffled Willow and to dance on the dance floor was worth the wait. The song "Cover Me Up" by Jason Isbell was the song me and my husband shared our first dance to, this was also the song that I would listen to while he was deployed when I was missing him. Having my girls stand by me and watch me marry Drew was my highlight of the wedding.
