Ashley + Aaron's Prospect Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding was so special for us because the ceremony and reception were both held at the marina my family has owned since I was a baby. I grew up on this marina along the banks of the Ohio River and have countless fond memories of the location. It was special for my husband, as well, as he spent many summers working at the marina and spending time with my family. He even proposed to me on the docks just beyond the spot where we were wedded. We were blessed with a perfect, sunny wedding day with a magnificent sunset - I have always thought the marina had the best sunsets in the world!

I grew up riding horses and, when one of my horses was too old to ride anymore, we built him a barn and pastures at this marina, as well. After the ceremony, my husband and I snuck away to the horse pasture and snapped some wedding shots. It was so special to sneak away from the reception and spend time just the two of us. We danced our first dance to "Harvest Moon" by Lord Huron.

We had so much fun planning the wedding and customizing the setting to create a perfect space. One of our favorite details from the wedding day was the bar. We had worked through the summer repurposing an old electrical house into something vibrant and fun!

Bride’s Advice; It is okay to ask for help from your friends and family! You don't have to feel like you have to do everything for the wedding. Give out tasks to trustworthy people to help with your pre-wedding stress.
