Rachel + Sam's Hopkinsville Wedding
From the Bride: I wanted our wedding decor and details to be fun, yet classy, and incorporated certain elements of the decor to really make it feel personal to us. Sam’s pocket watch used in his flat lay photos came from his grandfather and the cameo necklace and the pearls used in my flat lay photos are my mother’s. She actually wore these same pearls on her wedding day! I wanted to add something fun and colorful to my look, so I found a pair of light blue wedding shoes which I adored. Two other wedding details that were special to me were the white cross we got married in front of and the old doors we used as the backdrop for our wedding cake.
As Sam’s and my faith is the center of our relationship, I also wanted it to be the focal point for our ceremony backdrop. My dad actually made the white cross we stood in front of, making it that much more special and the doors behind my cake came from an old house close to the home I grew up in. The old home was a place where I spent a lot of time with my dad when I was younger. Another detail that I loved was our wedding favor. We decided to go with bright pink cotton candy and it was a hit! Our wedding florals also helped bring a fun pop of color with bright pinks and little hints of blue. All of these details combined really brought out the classy and colorful look we went for; perfect for a summer wedding!
My favorite moment was walking down the aisle to meet Sam. I don’t think anything will be able to top his expression and tears as my dad and I entered through the barn doors. Sam says his favorite wedding day moment was the feeling of peace and comfort he felt after saying “I Do” and being announced as Mr. and Mrs. Gray.
