Allie + Jackson's Bowling Green Southern Boho Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding details are quite different than your typical southern wedding. While we did have elegant decor with black table cloths on round tables and flowers and candles lit everywhere, we added a twist of boho and classic feel with our non-traditional seating, throws, and pillows to decorate the outdoor area around my parent's barn where the reception was held. One of my favorite details of the day was a collage of enlarged black and white pictures on one of the barn walls. Each of these photos had our parents and grandparents past wedding day's captured on them and it was so special for our family to see this. Another favorite detail of the day was my bouquet- my coordinators not only coordinated the wedding, but put together our amazing flower arrangements as well! And a very sentimental detail of the day were the earrings that I wore. They were the earrings that my mother wore on her wedding day, and it was so special to be able to wear them on my big day as my "something old". A random fun fact about a chandelier at our wedding: my mom actually purchased this from Free People when they were cleaning out their store one summer day, and it turned out to be a really fun detail that went perfect with the vibe of the evening!

Our signature drinks brought a unique and delicious feel to our reception. We had Zest Juice, a local juice shop owned by one of my good friends, juice 7 gallons each of "Zinger" and "OJ". We then mixed our own drinks with this, creating the most delicious cocktail for our guests. Definitely, the most special detail of the wedding was having it at my family's barn- the same place where we had our first kiss and also the place where we got engaged! It was also so special to get ready at my parent's house with 11 of my closest girls. My hair was even done by one of my best friends, Parker Graves. Another unique and special part of our wedding was having a live event painter and sketcher capture our special moment through a pencil and paint. These are pieces we will cherish forever!

Jackson's favorite wedding day moment in his own words: I have two favorite moments from our wedding day! My favorite moment was when Allie walked down the aisle. The moment we made eye contact as she walked down the aisle, I immediately started tearing up. My second one was when we shared our first dance; we got to have our first actual conversation of the day and it felt like the world just stopped in that moment.

My favorite wedding day moment: The moment we walked out of the church we were embraced by family and friends full of excitement! Everything had come together and all of our hard work was finally in action. We could lay down the stress of the planning and just enjoy the night now that we were officially husband and wife!!!
