Abby + Ethan's Romantic Garden Wedding

From the Bride: As high school sweethearts, Ethan and I spent nearly 8 years dating before tying the knot. I truly hadn't thought much about venues or the design of our wedding until it was time to begin planning. Once I saw Whitehall, I couldn't picture any other space for our big day. My vision truly came to life with beautiful florals including blush, cream, and white with pink berries, sage green dresses for my bridesmaids, and grey suits for the men. The ceremony garden is so intimate and beautiful on its own, so we had a simple backdrop for the ceremony; a walnut cross built by my dad with a spray of blush and cream roses. The reception space included gray, blush, and gold with draping and lighting on the tent, making the space cozy, even on an open patio.

While the men golfed, my girls and I spent the day inside the mansion, eating Chick-fil-A and drinking champagne while getting ready. I had first looks with my dad and my grandparents which were precious and memorable moments. Ethan and I, however, did not do a first look, so walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time in the intimate space of the garden was so special and my favorite part of the day, and Ethan agrees. We exchanged letters earlier in the day so we said traditional vows, then we moved to the reception space to get the party started! It was a perfect, sunny and breezy 80-degree August day for a celebration of our future as husband and wife with 200 of our favorite people. We served fried chicken and pulled pork with a little bourbon and danced the night away!
