Heather + Logan's Hopkinsville Wedding
From the Bride: Our original wedding guest list was in the 400’s with a DJ, Dinner, Drinks, and Dancing planned. But due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had to have a last minute change of plans. In May (one month before our big day) we had to make a difficult decision...do we postpone our wedding or go forward with a small intimate ceremony? Logan and I knew we didn't want to wait any longer to get married, so we decided to lower our guest list to immediate family and closest friends. We still struggled with not getting to see all of our family and friends on our special day, so we decided to do a social distance drive-by parade after the ceremony. We stood in my mother and father-in-law’s yard as everyone drove around the neighborhood. We even had people show up in limos and firetrucks, throw birdseed and confetti, make signs, bring gifts, and shower us in so much love. After the parade, we had a small reception at my in-law’s home.
It may not have been the big elaborate wedding we originally planned, but it was absolutely perfect and ended up being exactly what we didn't know we wanted. We were able to take it slow and soak up every second of the day.
My most favorite wedding day moment was the drive-by parade celebration. Logan's favorite wedding day moment was watching me walk down the aisle (*tear*)
