Callie and Zack's Moody Bowling Green Wedding

From the Bride: My wedding day, the best day of my life. All of the planning that was a vision, finally became real. There are so many things that I could say about this perfect day. From the flowers in my hair to my dreamy bouquet, to the mini succulent wedding favors, I couldn’t have asked for more.

I have to say that my favorite moment of the day was seeing my groom, my forever, for the first time. With a little persuasion, I finally talked him into having a First Look so that we could take advantage of the spring sunset with our photographers.

I still get butterflies when I look at our photos and all of the memories of our families and friends being with us as we started our new lives together are captured for us to look back on.

First and foremost, (other than marrying the love of my life) I just want to say how happy my husband and I loved how our photographers captured every moment of our wedding day! They went above and beyond all expectations to make sure we would cherish these images forever. We definitely wanted a very rustic/modern/classy wedding, and we wish so badly we could relive it over and over again! Luckily, we have the best pictures and video to share with our loved ones forever!"

From the Photographer: Callie + Zack's wedding took place on the end of winter/cusp of springtime, and the aesthetic of their wedding reflected that seasonal shift so well. Moody spring tones, clean gold accents, and circles were prominent themes throughout the day -- their ceremony arbor was a giant statement hoop, the bridesmaids held gold hoops garnished with florals, and some of the boutonnieres were actually circular wreaths. The florist absolutely killed it with all the arrangements -- Callie's bouquet was one of my favorite bouquets I've seen all year. Rustic yet modern all at the same time.

There were also lots of sentimental touches throughout the day. Callie had blue hearts sewn into her dress that were taken from fabric from work shirts worn by her dad, grandfathers, and soon-to-be-husband. Her grandmother's Bible was on the communion table, which was draped with her vintage lace. Family was a huge theme throughout the day. Both Callie + Zack's siblings were part of their wedding party, and Callie's niece and Zack's nephew (both named Corbin, ironically) were the flower girl and ring bearer. Precious flower-girl Corbin absolutely stole the show by "helping" Callie put her veil on. Many sweet moments were shared by Callie and Zack and their families -- most notably, I loved that Callie had super sweet weepy first looks with her brother and dad before seeing Zack for the first time. VERY sweet day.

But it wasn't all heavy and emotional -- one of my favorite moments from the day was when Callie gave Zack boxers with her face printed onto them as a wedding gift at the end of the night. It was HILARIOUS!

The venue has a unique antique "warehouse" vibe -- but I love that Callie + Zack were able to bring some clean, fresh elements into play making the space unique for their big day, while still honoring family and tradition at the same time.
