Macy + John's Whimsical Wedding
From the Bride: My favorite part of our wedding day was right before I was about to walk into the ceremony. My dad and I were hand-in-hand peaking around the corner, through the trees and bushes, at all the smiles on our friends and families’ faces, the bridal party just freshly lined up in their places, and my future husband with a giant grin on his face. As soon as we peaked the corner a tremendous amount of joy fell through from heaven. I could smell the fresh aroma from all the flowers. My heart beating along to the music the orchestra was playing. I couldn’t help but cry true tears of joy as I saw all the smiles, laughs and tears. As my feet hit my rose petaled aisle, John burst into a stream of tears! My dream wedding had come true! God’s peace had filled my heart and my love for John only grew stronger. That’s why we still continue to say thank Heaven for August 11!
August 11th was our 5-year anniversary since we started dating as seniors in high school. Another cool moment was right when we said “I do!” and kissed one another, the sky began to thunder just as if angels themselves were beating their drums! The rain held off until we sat down in our seats across the property in the barn. Nothing could change the new joy that was just given to me!
Other cool and precious moments were being able to see John and his groomsmen take a dip and swim in the outside pool at the hotel while we were getting ready. They didn’t know we could see them stories up! We still look at the love letters from each other, friends, and family we read while getting ready. Some of the lanterns that sat on top of the reception tables decorate our home. The day was full of my favorites, friends, family, full stomach of fantastic southern food, and a foundation of JOY!
