Lindsay and Austin's Farm Wedding
From the Bride: While we strongly contemplated eloping or doing a destination wedding, we quickly realized that there were very important people in our lives (like my grandparents) that wouldn’t be able to make the trip. We are both blessed with close families and friends that have supported us throughout our relationship and we knew we wanted them to see us exchange vows and commit our lives to each other. Our priority shifted to throwing a wedding that included all of the special people in our lives - and a great meal! We are both from Kentucky and we wanted to highlight the best of the bluegrass from a beautiful venue on a farm to locally grown flowers and a custom menu with some of our favorite foods.
There are so many details that made the day special and unique to us. One of our best friends officiated the wedding and asked us to write letters expressing what we love about each other. Little did we know he would be reading those in our ceremony. It was one of my favorite parts of the day. I also loved seeing all of the kids in our large family walk down the aisle as ring bearers and flower girls - they were so cute and a highlight for sure. Austin’s favorite part was definitely the meal and the cake and I can’t blame him! We consistently hear it was the best food and cake people have had at a wedding. The locally grown flowers arranged into hoop wreaths and the custom denim “Just Married” jacket I wore at the end of the night are two other special details that made the day.
