From the Bride: Our summertime wedding was a simple, sweet blend of all the things we love: friends, family, and of course, each other. From the Churchill Downs bugler greeting us at our rehearsal dinner to the dewy grass and blue skies on our wedding day, the sun was shining bright on our old Kentucky home all weekend long!

Matt and I both appreciate thoughtful details, so as a graphic designer, I was giddy to design our invitation suite alongside my husband-to-be. We ended up basing the entire style of our wedding on our invitation by incorporating soft florals and a pale blue and gray color palette throughout the celebration. We both agreed that our favorite part of designing the details was the inclusion of our fur baby, a German Shepherd named Jackson, with a signature drink, custom cake topper and celebration sign.

During our ceremony, our priest (who also married my parents) thoughtfully shared heartfelt stories of Matt, myself, and our parents that he had learned throughout the time we spent together during marriage preparation. Our reception immediately followed, and we shared our first dance to Chris Stapleton's "Millionaire." We both agreed that this was our favorite part of the entire day - it was an intimate moment where we felt like we were the only two people in the room. We danced the night away with those we adore most, and feel so thankful to officially do life together as each other's best friend!
