Wesley and Mark's Wedding Romantic Wedding

From the bride: When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted different! We worked really closely with our venue and our florist/coordinator to create the perfect winter, moody atmosphere. The color palette included emerald green, dark reds, and navy. We had a large hanging floral installation, that flowed with magnolia, Edison lights & the right amount of floral pop to grab your attention. It took our breath away seeing the finished ceremony/reception space.

In my wedding dress I went from Kate Spade wedges to Sperry Duck boots so that it would be possible to get in the creek for photos. Surrounded by woods and water, the best pictures were taken there. After making it through the day, it was time to warm up! Our caterer served soup and chili. Yum! For dessert we created a spread of bourbon balls (it’s Kentucky after all), tiered white cake, and Newton’s homemade ice cream in chocolate and OreOMG (Oreo Oh My Goodness).

Mark’s favorite moment was the first look. We met on the curved section of the paved driveway under the trees. I was nervous, the photographers/videographers were making me laugh, and then finally I turned to see her and all I could do was hug her. And my favorite moment was after the ceremony we were released to eat, got our food, and my husband and I went back to our Sweetheart table. There we were sitting under the floral installation, could see every detail of the space, lit candles all around, beautiful centerpieces. The bonus though was getting time to talk, just the two of us, and being able to look around and be thankful for everyone who was able to be there for us on our wedding day.
